Anxiety is Real

Updated: Jun 21, 2018

I was dealing with anxiety before the surgery but now that it's over, it's been weighing me down.

The recovery phase has been difficult. I was expecting it to be easy, but it's not. In fact, the surgery was easier than this.

I've been reading a lot of books and focusing on 30 minute anxiety exercises. I'm learning that the mind is a powerful thing, and having a surgery like the one I had can alter your thoughts.

The bible talks about being anxious. It says

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your mind in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)

My appointment today was OK. The doctors and nurses really try to work with me and some of my anxious thoughts I've been having. Please continue to pray for me as I will be praying for you.
