Thank You

Updated: Apr 23, 2018

"Ding Dong" is a noise I've been hearing since I've been back home. "Special delivery for Alicia," the mailman shouts.

Although my pain is beginning to subside, my spirits have been lower than usual.

Today, I was feeling depressed and stuck in a rut, but then I received a beautiful arrangement of flowers (the timing was perfect).

"Why is everyone being so nice to me?" I cried out to my mother. "Well, Alicia...aren't you deserving?" she replied (hella deep, right? 🤔).

Her question made me think and she's absolutely right (I'm always pouring kindness into the world, so now the universe is just returning the favor).

I guess I'm just amazed by Gods timing in this all. He refuses to let me hit rock bottom and soak in pity.

Every time I feel discouraged, I get a encouraging card in the mail. When I feel sad, I receive a thoughtful text message or phone call.

When I want to break down and cry, I receive a cool package, and when I feel lonely, I get an unexpected visitor or guest. It's truly been a blessing and it's far from coincidental.

The other day my goofy cousin stopped by the house and I'm glad he did.

He sat there and told me a bunch of funny stories. I laughed so hard -- it felt like my brain was trying to creep it's way back out.

I needed those laughs. I needed that boost to make it through.

Thank You!
